Dicoll use ESP to Support London Eye

January 2008

Dicoll, one the UK’s leading manufacturers of kiosks, has chosen ESP to support their self-service kiosks at the London Eye.

Since opening in March 2000 the British Airways London Eye has become an iconic landmark and a symbol of modern Britain. The London Eye is the UK’s most popular paid for visitor attraction, visited by over 3.5 million people a year. A breathtaking feat of design and engineering, passengers in the London Eye's capsules can see up to 40 kilometres in all directions.

Dicoll is a specialist manufacturer of enclosures for electronic equipment to safeguard its operation in environmentally challenging conditions. Indeed the rugged construction and vandal resistance demanded by unattended public access situations form a large part of their product portfolio. As one of the leading kiosk manufacturers in the UK their Transactional Kiosk were chosen to enable the London Eye passengers to carry out self-service transactions and print their own tickets. The user-friendly interface, small footprint and rugged stainless steel construction made this kiosk the perfect choice for this high-use public environment.

With such a large amount of passenger traffic Dicoll wanted to be sure that their Transactional Kiosks were maintained and supported to the highest of standards. ESP were a natural choice for this service with staff strategically located to support central London within the required service level 365 days a year and the specialist kiosk knowledge gained from their enviable reputation in supporting self check-in kiosks at airports across the country.
